4th LINEAR ALGEBRA WORKSHOP

GEOGRAPHY
The conference and the workshop will be held at Bled, a
traditional tourist resort from the times of the Austro-Hungarian empire. It is situated on a lake,
surrounded by mountains, offering possibilities for walks in a nice Alpine environment.
Bled is only 60 km (40 miles) from
Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. The easiest way to
come here is through the International Airport of Ljubljana. It has regular connections with some
European cities (Paris, London, Zurich, Prague, etc., few times a day with Munich, Vienna and Frankfurt).
The airport is situated at the highway Ljubljana-Bled, so that it is only half an hour drive from Bled.
Hotel Golf is located right in the center of Bled with a beautiful view of the lake, the island, the
castle and the Julian Alps. Each room comes with its own bathroom, balcony, TV with satellite channels
and a direct-dial phone. They have an outdoor swimming pool with terrace, an indoor swimming pool
with heated thermal water, whirlpool, sauna, massage services, solarium, fitness center, restaurants,
cafeteria and an evening bar. They will provide breakfast and dinner for the participants.
